Since launching our signature frameless cabinet line five years ago, Ohana Building Supply has become Hawaii’s go-to destination for affordable island-inspired cabinetry. Our recent work in a beachfront home on Oahu’s North Shore is the perfect showcase of beautiful design, high-quality materials, and luxurious island living.

Beautiful Materials

A combination of Ohana’s Walnut and Glossy White frameless flat-panel cabinets provided the ideal solution to harmonize the home’s natural surroundings while incorporating modern comfort. The warm walnut finish of the base and pantry cabinets, with its rich brown hues and realistic grain pattern, seamlessly blended with the other wood tones throughout the house. The glossy white upper cabinets, in contrast, brightened the space, accentuating the high ceilings and creating a clean, airy feel. Finally, the engineered stone countertop, "New White Beige," mimics the look of natural marble, adding a touch of luxury to the kitchen surfaces without breaking the bank. 

Tropical Durability 

Since the home was within steps of firing North Shore waves, it was imperative that the kitchen materials be durable enough to endure both exterior and interior elements. Ohana’s laminate flat-panel cabinets set themselves apart from others, with PVC edge banded doors that have better resistance to moisture. The same can be said about the cabinet boxes, which are industry leading 3/4” plywood finished in white melamine laminate instead of painted for additional sealing and durability.
